Mr. Zhen Xiao is of Chinese origin, and lives in Switzerland since 2002. He obtained his engineering education in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, with a first-class honor degree. He then worked in Singapore, Switzerland and China for more than 18 years as engineer, researcher, and managers. He has been working with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne (EPFL) for over 10 years as China Relation Coordinator. Since 2010, he has been heading the non-profit organization, Foundation Swiss Centers, who facilitates Swiss companies’ trade and business development in China. In the past 4 years, Swiss Centers has set up 3 facilities in Shanghai and in Tianjin, and since it was founded in 2002, it supported more than 300 Swiss companies for their business development in China.

Dr. Beat Widler is a Ph.D. graduate from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH), and holds the Swiss Diploma of Pharmaceutical Medicine. He operates as an independent CQA, quality risk management, GCP and pharmacovigilance auditing expert and is managing partner at Widler & Schiemann AG in Zug. Dr. Widler has over 25 years with Roche in Switzerland and the UK in the areas of regulatory affairs, clinical research and Quality Assurance & Risk Management. For 15 years, he was Global Head of Roche Clinical Quality and 5 years the Head of Roche Clinical Development UK. Representative for more than 15 years on IFPMA, EFPIA, Interpharma working groups and delegations to Health Authorities.
